Prosper saw above-average hail activity this month. The March 12 storm — part of a larger DFW supercell — produced golf-ball sized hail (1.5") in several neighborhoods near Preston Rd, including Legacy Hills, Star Trail, and Whitley Place subdivisions.
A secondary hail event on March 19 produced quarter-sized (1.0") stones across the 75078 zip code. Both storms were accompanied by 50–65 mph wind gusts capable of lifting unsealed shingle tabs.
